Our Vision and Values

Numquam Frustra Opus Domini. “The Lord’s work is never in vain.” (1 Corinthians 15:58)

Vision statement:

Our vision is to support our students in their pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, allowing them to flourish as lifelong learners, seeking to love God and serve the community.

Academy values:

Respect: “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Look not only to your own interests but also to the interest of others.” (Philippians 2:3 - 4)

We seek to develop responsibility and truthfulness through our students’ experiences at the academy.

Service: “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” (1 Peter 3:15)

We seek to develop compassion and empathy through our students’ experiences at the academy.

Aspiration: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, and love others as yourself.” (Mark 12:30)

We seek to develop resilience and perseverance through our students’ experiences at the academy.

Core aims:

  1. Education: To empower students to become curious, independent and proactive members of society through a broad and rich curriculum, delivered both in and outside the classroom.

  2. Christian Distinctiveness: To provide an environment guided by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ that ensures students become caring, ethical and responsible contributors to society.

  3. Relationships: Students learn to establish, nurture and value strong relationships built upon mutual respect, tolerance and compassion.

  4. Equality and Diversity: To enable all students to think, speak and act inclusively so that all members of the community can be treated equally, fairly and with dignity.

  5. British Values: To understand and embrace the values of our diverse and modern British society, ensuring that we all play a collective role in caring for our environment and our community.

  6. Careers: To prepare and equip our students with the knowledge, skills and characteristics required to succeed in our modern world's ever-changing careers.
